On Thursday, June 26, McCall teammates in Ocala came together to host a First Responder Cookout, marking the first event of its kind for the local office. Local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs were honored with a complimentary lunch as a small token of appreciation for their service and dedication to the community.
Planning and executing a successful cookout takes commitment, teamwork, and plenty of hard work. Three dedicated McCall teammates—Bradly Owens, Ocala Branch Manager; Roger Collins, Region 11 Manager; and Tommy Hebert, Orlando Branch Manager—stepped up to the challenge, taking charge of the event’s preparations. Together, they cooked and served 400 hamburgers and 350 hot dogs, ensuring that every guest left with a full belly and a warm smile.
The turnout was tremendous, with first responders coming out in large numbers to enjoy the delicious food and camaraderie. Originally scheduled to wrap up by 1:00 PM, the event extended beyond the planned hours as first responders continued to drop by. The team was happy to continue serving food and enjoy the conversation and fellowship.
