Dr. Koehler has received numerous accolades and is well known for his research in urban entomology and structural pest control, including research on mosquitoes, bed bugs, flies, cockroaches, termites, and ants.

9:15 - 10:15 Dr. Phil Koehler

In this session, learn how to identify bed bugs and important biological features that make them such a pest. Also, hear about the state of the bed bug market and the latest in industry research on this pest. 

10:15 - 10:30 Break

10:30 - 11:30 Bed Bug Central

Bed Bug Central discusses the importance of monitoring for bed bugs and how to establish a great proactive program to limit the amount of large-scale infestations in your facility. 

11:30 - 12:10 Lunch And Thermal Remediation Equipment Demo 

After you grab some great food, head down to the "Hot Room" where we will demo a thermal remediation set up, as well as show off a Hot House Chamber for treating small rooms with heat. 

12:10 - 12:30 AHCA

Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration will discuss their experiences with bed bugs in assisted living facilities.

12:30 - 1:30 Mark Ruff, P.A. 

Hear from an attorney on how to keep you and your company out of the court room, when dealing with bed bugs. Mark will walk through some of the common legal issues with this pest.

1:45 - 2:15 Dr. Ben Hottel

Dr. Hottel will discuss a monitoring project he completed in public housing as well as research he completed on bed bug behavior.
