One of our nation’s top 21 next generation of leaders in the pest management industry, John Cooksey, is an intricate part of McCall Service. As Chief Operating Officer, pest management is in his blood. His family has been protecting homes and business from unwanted pests in Florida and parts of Georgia since 1928. Growing up in a family that bleeds pest management and petroleum distribution and being surrounded by innovative leaders in his family has contributed to his being selected as one of the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA) top 21 next generation leaders in pest management.
The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is a non-profit organization with more than 7,000 members worldwide. It was established in 1993 to help support and maintain the pest management industry’s commitment to the protection of food, property and public health. Recognizing exceptional leadership skills that are crucial to the successful future of safe and efficient pest management, NPMA has published the list of the top 21 ‘up and coming’ leaders in the next generation of this nations pest management industry. This process was not a simple one. Many names of nominees were brought forth from the NPMA Board of directors, past presidents and staff. The nominees were then whittled down to a final list, which was voted upon by the NPMA Board of Directors and past presidents. The final list of the 21 pest management industry leaders was posted in the June 2015 edition of the Pestworld magazine.
